Chapter 25

Hello:D. third chapter of the marathon, 3 or 4 more chapters will be posted tomorrow:D.

ENJOY! <3.

-

Jana? My Jana? The one who was 'totally in love' with Omar?

''Hussain, are you sure it's Jana?'' I said cautiously.

''Yeah, Jana Al X.'' He said.

''What's going on between you two?'' I asked, clearly wanting to get to the bottom of this.

''Well, we met this summer at a party one of her cousins were throwing. She came alone, none of your other friends were with her. She was flirting with a bunch of these guys, and then she made her way towards me. She was all over me, and then she asked for my number. I declined, then the next day I got a bbm from her, saying she got my pin from someone at the party.

Now she's pretty much been flirting with me, and probably half of the guys in Kuwait, since I saw her give her number to a lot of guys at that party. I tried telling her to back off, but she won't listen to me. Don't get me wrong, she's pretty, but I'm not really into her. So can you talk to her?''

I was shocked. I always though of Jana as the ''respectable'' type. I never in a million years would have expected her to do something like this. Then again, looks can be pretty deceiving.

''Sure, I'll um, talk to her. Can I see some of the bbms? If you don't mind.'' I asked.

''Yeah, sure.'' He said, handing me his sleek blackberry.

I opened his bbms, finding numerous ones from Jana. I opened them, my eyes gaping at the screen.

Jana Al X: Heyyy Hussain;)

Hussain Al X: Um who is this?

Jana Al X: It's Jana! We met at Sana Al X's party, remember? ;p.

I scrolled down, stopping at a random place. I checked the date, noticing it was from this morning.

Jana Al X: Babe, why weren't you at 360 last night? ;(.

Hussain Al X: I was busy.

Jana Al X: Too busy for me? ;o.

Hussain Al X: yup.

Then I found one that wasn't even read yet.

Jana Al X: Well okay. I'll see you in school then, just make sure that Sara bitch isn't around. ;**

I looked away from the phone, feeling like I wanted to cry.

''Sara what's wrong?'' He said.

I handed him back the phone, not being able to say anything.

What had I done to Jana that made her so mad at me? Had she always been like this?

 A fake friend in disguise?

''Oh my god, Sara I'm so sorry.'' Hussain said, awkwardly putting his phone back in his pocket.

''No, it's fine. I will defiantly be talking to her.'' I said, anger pulsing through my veins.

We heard the bell ring, and I stayed seated. It was only study hall, and I was in no mood to be there, especially since I knew Yousef was going to be sitting in the same room as me.

We talked for the rest of the day, until I heard the final bell ring. I got up, reluctantly turning to leave the roof.

''Sara, wait!'' Hussain called.

''Yeah?''

''If anyone's a bitch, it's her.'' He said.

I smiled, and turn around to walk downstairs.

I made my way outside to the car, when I saw the last person I wanted to be near right now.

Jana.

''Hey Sara!'' She said.

I gave her a long, cold glare, making her fake smile fall off her face and her skin turn pale.

I turned around and walked away, when I turned back and blurted out the first thing that came to my mind.

''You're such a fucking backstabber.''

Chapter 24

Second chapter in the marathon! Hussain is going to appear a lot in the next chapters, so stay tuned:p

Enjoy!

My mouth practically dropped to the floor. Was that really Hussain?

He got taller over the summer, and had is hair cut shorter. He still had muscles, but they looked more normal on his body now. He had gotten tanner, and his Arabian skin had gotten much clearer.

I had to admit, he looked pretty hot.

I nervously glanced at Yousef, who still had his attention on Hussain. Yousef's expression wasn't exactly 'welcoming'. Hussain, on the other hand

''Hey Sara!'' Hussain said.

''Hi.'' I said, feeling the tension in the air.

''Hey Yousef.'' Hussain smiled, not noticing how pissed Yousef was.

''Hi.'' Yousef coldly replied, tightening his grip around my waist.

''So Sara, the teacher asked if me and you could do another art project for the school, do you want to?'' He said nervously, clearly starting to notice Yousef.

''Um, I'll think about it and let you know tomorrow, okay?'' I said, my voice just above a whisper.

''Okay, I'll talk to you later. Um, bye Yousef.'' He mumbled, quickly walking away.

Once he had walked away, Yousef turned to me.

''I don't like this guy.'' Yousef muttered, removing his arm from my waist and opening his locker.

''No one does.'' I shot back.

''Sara! You don't even know this guy! You have no idea about what the guys told me about him. Where he goes, who he hangs out with, the things he has done with girls. You don't know anything about him!'' He exclaimed.

''Yousef! It's just an art project and were just friends!'' I yelled, my voice echoing through the empty hallway.

''I don't care! Stay away from him!'' He shouted back.

''Yousef! You're acting like a clingy girlfriend! You have no right to tell me who to hang out with! So just leave it!'' I said, slamming my locker and quickly walking away, tears of anger forming in my eyes.

We never acted this way towards each other, especially over something as silly as this.

I made my way downstairs, to find Shoug. I really wanted to tell her about this, since I had no one else to talk to. I found her by the stairs, helping Turki with some homework.

''Hey guys.'' I said.

''Hey Sara!'' Shoug smiled, placing the textbook on the seat next to her.

''Hey!'' Turki said.

I dropped my fake smile, placing my books next to me.

''You okay?'' Turki asked, looking at my sad face.

''What's wrong?'' Shoug said, worry crossing her face.

''I don't know. It's just Yousef. You know Hussain, the guy that I did the art project for the school last year with?'' I started.

''That guy in my english class who skips to go smoke on the roof?'' Turki asked.

I mentally sighed. Again with the stereotypes? Why couldn't he be known as ''that guy with the amazing artistic abilities'' or ''that guy who paints amazing landscapes''?

''Yeah... him.'' I said, ignoring his comment.

''Okay....'' Shoug said, leaning forward in her seat.

I told them everything that happened, and they both looked a bit shocked.

''Sara, he's just looking out for you because he loves you.'' Turki insisted.

''What's there to look out for?'' I said, crossing my arms.

''Just talk to him about it in a calm, simple way.'' Shoug piped in.

''I'll try.'' I sighed.

The bell rang, indicating the start of classes. I waved goodbye to Turki, and me and Shoug walked to English class. We arrived to class, and took our regular seats. After I got my work from the teacher, I sat next to Shoug and completed all of it, not bothering to listen to the teacher going on and on about the 'importance of William Shakespeare''.

After class, I quickly ran out of class, realizing that I forgot my Social Studies books in my locker due to the 'incident' this morning. I sighed, bringing back the frustrating memory of the argument. I briskly walked to my locker, trying to avoid as many people as possible.

After getting my books, I went into the class to find Fay. I grinned at her, relieved that I wouldn't be sitting in class like a loner.

''Hey!'' She said, waving me over to the seat next to her.

''Hi! How are you?''

''Great, the teacher's absent, so we have a free class.''

''Thank God. I needed a break!'' I laughed, and she agreed.

We talked until the end of the class, catching up on random things. I decided not to tell her about the whole 'Hussain vs Yousef'' thing, but I decided I would tell her later.

At the end of the class, we both got up, when she turned to tell me something.

''Oh and I heard there's going to be a new girl in class, and she was here last year. Maybe you know her?'' She said, gathering her books.

''Hmm, maybe.'' I smiled. I knew practically everyone in school, so I would probably recognize her.

We both said our goodbyes, and I made my way to my next class.

By break, I was dead tired. I hid in the library, not really wanting to speak to anyone. I kept running through what happened this morning over and over in my head.

After break I headed over to to History class, trying to check that I had everything.

I slipped into class, seeing Amal no where in sight. I sighed, realizing that she probably skipped.

I sat down at my seat, bored as hell. I even started reading those stupid signs around the room that the teachers put up.

About 20 minutes into the class I was bored as hell.

I turned my attention from my textbook to the door as someone quietly knocked on it.

Mr Green, our history teacher, put down his book and swung the door open.

''Hello, sir. The principle told me to tell you that Sara Al X is wanted in her office.'' I heard a familiar voice say.

Hussain.

I immediately saw everyone look at me.

''What did I do now?'' I thought to myself. I stood up and walked out of class, seeing a familiar face.

I saw Hussain standing there with a big grin on his face.

As soon as the door closed, he lightly pulled me to the stairs.

''So I'm not really going to the principle's office, am I?'' I teased.

''No, you are not.'' He laughed.

''Thanks for getting me out of class, I was dying in there.''

''Well, I saw you in break, and you looked pretty tired. So I figured you needed to relax.'' He said.

''Well, you were right.'' I said, a small smile growing on my face.

''So, shall we?'' He grinned nodding towards the dusty old staircase leading to the roof.

I nodded, and we both went up to the roof.

No one ever went up there, since all the other teachers used the other two building's roofs. There was a place that was perfectly hidden from the view of the other two roofs, behind a large tool shed. There was an old sofa and a couple of bean bag chairs, and it was a perfect hideaway used by almost all of the students.

We both talked for a while, when he turned to me, a deep look of worry spread across his face.

''Sara, I know this is kind of awkward telling you, since she's one of your really close friends, but.... Well I don't really know how to say this, but can you please tell Jana to stop all this 'flirting' with me?''

What?!?

Chapter 23

Hello everyone:) IT'S MARATHON TIME!! :D. This is the first chapter of the 6-7 posts I'm going to be posting:).

Enjoy!
-

''SARAAAAAA!'' I heard my housekeeper, Maria, yell as she opened the curtains, exposing the bright sunlight. I groaned, shoving a pillow in my face, trying to escape the harsh sun rays.

''Yala Sara you get up you must go to the school!'' She said, throwing the covers off of my freezing body.

''okay fine one minute!'' I sighed, getting up.

It was the first school since my 'accident' and I was dreading the constant interrogation from my classmates.

I went straight to the bathroom, and took a cold shower, instantly waking me up. I wrapped my hair in a towel, then ran a straightener through it. I put my hair put in a ponytail, letting my hair fall down my back. I changed, slipping on my boring school pants and buttoning my crisp white shirt. I looked at the mirror, examining myself. I stared at the bruise on my cheek, wishing it would go away. I sighed, applying concealer over it. Once I was satisfied that it couldn't be seen, I put on some clear lip gloss.

I grabbed my Proenza satchel bag, and sprayed my signature Chanel no5 perfume on. I went over to my bedside table, grabbing my blackberry and stuffing it in my bag, then went over to my closet, slipping Yousef's necklace on and hiding it under my school shirt. I slipped on my black flats, and looked at myself one last time in the mirror. I smiled, and made my way downstairs.

Fahad and Aziz were already downstairs, eating breakfast. I said my usual good mornings, and headed to the kitchen. I saw Yousef sitting on the chair, eating a bowl of cereal, his eyes glued to his phone.

''Good morning!'' I said, walking over to the fridge to get some milk.

''Morning, Sara.'' He said, turning his attention to me.

I put my bag on the counter, and poured some cereal into the bowl. I turned to get some toast and eggs from the counter, feeling his eyes on my back. I sat down and ate, trying to hurry so we wouldn't be late.

''How did you sleep?'' Yousef asked, finishing the last of his cereal.

''Good, except for the part where I had to wake up.'' I joked, digging in to my eggs.

''Same here.'' He laughed.

I poured myself orange juice, and checked my phone. There were numerous broadcasts, and two dms. One was from a girl from my class, and one was from Hussain.

Hussain Al X: Hey Sara, are you coming to school today? :)

I typed back,  my tired brain trying to find a decent way to reply.

SaraAlX: Yeah:)

''Simple, but effective.'' I thought to myself, making me laugh.

''What's so funny?'' Yousef asked, looking at my phone, then back at me.

''Nothing.'' I said, brushing the topic off.

''Oh really?'' He said with a smirk.

He reached over the counter, grabbing my phone.

''HEY!'' I said while getting up, trying to grab my phone back.

I had nothing to hide, the only guys I had on bbm were my cousins, along with Omar, Turki, Faris, and Yousef. Everyone in my grade followed me on twitter, including guys, but I never dmed them or anything, aside from Hussain. It's not like he would mind, right? Wrong.

''Why are you talking to Hussain?'' Yousef asked in an accusing tone, looking up from the phone. He was well aware of Hussain's 'bad reputation', just like everyone else.

I rolled my eyes. Typical stereotype.

It's horrible that just because someone has a certain appearance, or acts a certain way, people will always judge them and not get to know the real them.

I gave Hussain a chance, and I was surprised with the outcome. He was probably one of the sweetest and creative people ever, and it's a shame that no one, besides his friends, Hashem and Sultan, ever get to see that.

''He just asked if I was okay. I know him from the art project last year, remember?'' I quickly said.

''Okay.'' He said, getting up and going to the corner of the room, trying to keep me from snatching my phone away.

I walked over to him in disbelief. I pulled his arm, forcing him to turn around. He stuffed the phone in his pocket and looked at me with a cold expression.

''You don't trust me?'' I said, and his facial expression immediately changed.

''No, Sara, it's not like that at all!'' He said, holding my hand.

''Oh really?'' I said sarcastically.

''Really! Look Sara, I'm just being defensive because I love you.''

I blushed, and looked up at him. ''I understand.''

''Good.'' He grinned, taking a stray piece of my chocolate brown hair and tucked it behind my ear.

''So can I have my phone back?''

''Can I give it to you at the end of the day?''

''Why?''

''You don't trust me?'' He teased.

''Fine.'' I giggled.

I turned around to go back to eat my breakfast, when Yousef held on to my hand, spinning me back around.

''Aren't you forgetting something?'' He smirked.

''What?'' I laughed, trying to figure out what he was talking about.

He leaned over to me and gave me a quick kiss on the cheek, making me blush like crazy.

''That.'' He said, returning to his seat.

Amal burst into the room, her large purple Kate Spade satchel bag swung aimlessly around, hitting her hip.

She closed the door behind her, eyeing my red cheeks.

''Good morning!'' She said, skipping over to the counter, getting eggs and french toast.

''Good morning.'' Yousef said, looking back at me.

''Morning, Amal!'' I said, sitting down next to Yousef.

She sat down, and quickly ate, stuffing her face like a chipmunk, causing me and Yousef to laugh.

''What? I'm hungry!'' She said, digging in to her eggs.

I noticed how she curled her hair and had it in an elegant ponytail, and was wearing light mascara.

''So Amal, whats up with you and Jassim?'' Yousef teased, causing Amal to choke on her french toast.

When Yousef and Amal both met, they clicked instantly. It was so funny to watch them joke around.

''Absolutely wonderful.'' She sighed with a big smile on her face.

''He will never shut up about you! All he does is 'Amal did this blah blah blah, Amal has amazing hair blah blah blah Amal Amal Amal.' He teased, faking a sigh.

I burst out laughing, and watched Amal as she grew as red as a tomato.

''COME ON GUYS WERE GONNA BE LATE!'' I heard Fahad scream from outside, causing me to jump out of my seat.

I grabbed my bag off the table, and made my way outside the house. I told my driver to take us in my fathers  g-class, and we all climbed in.

15 minutes later, we all arrived at school. Amal quickly ran off, and Fahad went to go hang out with his friends, leaving me and Yousef to walk into school.

I was greeted by well over 50 people, each coming up to me and asking how I was, what happened, etc.
Finally I made my way over to my locker, getting my stuff for classes. I was about to slam it shut when I felt a persons arm wrap around my waist.

''Yousef!'' I said, looking around, seeing an empty hallway in front of me. Everyone was probably already at the assembly.

I relaxed, and closed my locker, hearing a small cough behind me.

Hussain?

Chapter 22

Welcome back, readers :). So I'm going to be doing a marathon pretty soon, probably starting on the next chapter.

I'm going to try something new with this marathon, so I'll be typing all of the chapters first (I'll start typing them after I finish this chapter) then posting them 30 minutes apart, that way there's less waiting:p

This chapter is dedicated to @vieblogue and @typicalblog, because they both recently celebrated their birthdays:p so Happy Birthday to both of them! :D

Enjoy:*

-

We pulled away from the driveway, and began to drive towards my house. I sighed, leaning back on the tan leather seat, my stomach accusingly rumbling, demanding food.

''Want to go get some food?'' Yousef said, biting his lip to keep from laughing.

''Yes please.'' I shyly said.

''What do you have in mind?'' He asked.

''How about McDonalds?'' I said casually, trying to ignore my grumbling stomach.

He switched lanes, and headed towards the McDonalds.

I smiled, and relaxed, enjoying the peaceful silence. I rested my hands at my side, and looked out at the beach. There were families having picnics, all sitting on the sand.

My eyes caught one family in particular. There was a woman playfully chasing her two children around, while her husband was laughing and preparing the food. They all went to eat, the mother sitting beside her husband. I saw them both look at each other for a second. They both stared into each other's eyes, and had huge smiles plastered on their faces.

They looked so in love.

I wondered if that was going to be me and Yousef 10 years from now. Still in love. I probably sound like such a typical girl, but I just couldn't help it. I turned to see Yousef's gaze on me, his mouth forming a huge smile. I felt his hand slip into mine, and I instantly turned red.

The light turned green, and the car sped off, leaving the family behind.

5 minutes later, we arrived to Mcdonalds.

I got out of the car, and headed inside, my stomach growling. We went to the counter, and was greeted by a young Filipino man. ''Hello welcome to Mcdonalds may I take your order?''

''I'll have one big mac and medium fries, with pepsi please.'' Yousef said, and turned to me. ''And for my beautiful girl?''

''One chicken burger, and a diet pepsi, please.'' I said, giggling.

We got our order, and sat down at one of the tables. We ate, and talked about our day.

''I don't know, I'm still pretty stressed about school. I don't wanna deal with everyone's questions.'' I sighed, finishing the last bite of my chicken burger.

''Sara, I'm sure it'll be fine.'' He laughed, eating the last of his fries.

''Are you finished?'' He said, wiping his mouth with a napkin.

''Yeah, lets go.'' I smiled, taking my diet coke.

We went to order three cheeseburgers for Aziz, Fahad, and Amal, then went outside to the car.

the parking lot was pretty empty, since it was 4, and everyone was at home. I got in the car, putting the bag with the burgers in the backseat.

I turned around to find Yousef gazing at me with a smirk plastered on his face.

''What?'' I laughed and turned to face him, trying not to blush.

He leaned over towards me, and I could smell his Lacoste perfume clinging to his shirt. He wrapped one arm around my waist, making me unable to move. I opened my mouth to say something, but no sound came out. He leaned forward, his face inches from mine. My mind was screaming, my heart beating a million miles an hour. I felt his hot breath brush against my cheek, sending chills down my spine. He leaned over to my ear, to whisper something.

''You forgot your seat belt.'' He said, leaning back to his seat with a smug smirk.

I breathed out and clicked my seat belt on, my cheeks turning a bright red.

''I make you so nervous.'' He said as we pulled out of the driveway.

''You do not.'' I answered, smoothing out my shirt.

''You know I do. You can't help but always get nervous around me, and you turn as red as a tomato.'' He laughed, pressing the accelerator.

''Okay fine, maybe a little.'' I gave in.

''What can I say? I'm a charmer.'' He said, popping his non existent collar.

''Shut up.'' I laughed, hitting him lightly in the arm.

We pulled up to the empty house, and walked inside. I dumped my bag by the stairs, and sat down in the living room.

For the rest of the day, we talked and hung out.

at 5:30, I realized that I hadn't gotten a call from my father.

He should have landed already.

''Sara, calm down! He's probably having such a good time, don't bother him.'' I said to myself.

I shook off the feeling, and grabbed two sodas from the fridge. I went back into the living room, where Yousef was sitting, watching a football game.

I sat next to him, crossing my legs on the couch. He looked at me and smiled, then turned his attention back to the television, and I handed him his soda.

he slid his empty hand in mine, and I leaned my head on his shoulder. I kept up with the game, watching as the players ran across the field, chasing the football.

At the end of the day, I decided that I should go to sleep, since I had school the next day.

I went upstairs, and went to my room. Yousef was downstairs with Fahad and Aziz, and Amal had already gone to sleep.

I took a shower, then changed into sweat pants and a tank top. I brushed my teeth, and put my hair into a messy bun.

I plugged my phone in to charge, and blasted my air conditioning.

I was about to climb into bed, when I heard a knock on my door.

I walked over to the door and opened it, seeing Yousef standing there.

He lightly grabbed my arm, pulling me out into the hallway.

He leaned over to me, and gave me a quick kiss on the cheek.

''Good night, Sara.''

The scream sent chills down my spine, and I quickly looked at Fay.

Her face had grown white, as if she had saw a ghost.

We both bolted downstairs, trying to find the source of the screams.

We rushed outside, seeing Fay's two sisters, Hind and Aisha were yelling and laughing, running around on the grass and practicing their cartwheels.

I saw Fay breathe out a sigh of relief, and we quickly went back upstairs.

We worked on the Social Studies, and I copied all of her notes for class. We finally finished, and Yousef was going to be there in 15 minutes.

''Just finished the last of the notes!'' I said, massaging my aching wrists.

''Great!'' She said, sitting on her bed.

I packed up my bag, and sat down on the seat across from her.

''Fay?'' I said.

''Mhmm?'' She said, her eyes still scanning over the lifeless pages of her textbook.

''How did you leave Syria?'' I blurted out, not knowing what I was saying.

I automatically covered my mouth with my hand, and she started laughing.

''It's okay, you're not the first person to ask.'' She calmly said.

I removed my hand from my mouth, and let out a relieved sigh.

She closed her textbook, and began.

''I had a normal life. I went to school, and I was one of the only English speaking students in the class.
We didn't live near the capital, so our town wasn't deeply affected, and I was able to live a normal life.

One day, my father came to pick me up from school, and there were all of our suitcases in the backseat. I kept asking him what was going on, but he just kept telling me nothing.

When I got home, All of my clothes were already packed. My mother said that I had 20 minutes to pack anything else I wanted to take.

I kept desperately asking her what was going on, but she just ignored me. I gave up, packing the rest of my things.

An hour later my father told us that we needed to leave.  As we drove away, I remember having a feeling that I wouldn't be returning to that house ever again.

I still didn't know what was going on, or where we were going. We arrived at the airport, and we boarded a plane, taking us to Kuwait.

When we arrived, my parents explained everything. There were rumors flying around the town, saying that the town was the next to be attacked.

It was hard leaving all of my friends behind, without an explanation. The next day the town was attacked, turning into a cold, lifeless battlefield. But I'm just grateful that everyone had left to a different country or to a different city, and that we were all safe.''

''Wow.'' I said, at a loss for words.

''Yeah, I get that a lot.''  She laughed, and we both started talking.

5 minutes later, my phone started to buzz in my pocket. I looked at the screen, my eyes instantly lighting up. Youseff:D <3. is calling.

''I'm downstairs.'' He said, hearing the smug tone in his voice.

''Okay, I'll be there in a second!'' I said, ending the phone call.

''Fay, thank you so much for helping me, I wouldn't have been able to get through all of this work without you!'' I said, getting up to give her a hug.

''Really Sara it's no problem!'' She assured me.

I took my bag, hanging the strap over my shoulder. We made our way outside, to find Yousef leaning against his car. He flashed me the biggest smile ever, making my heart skip a beat.

I said my goodbyes to Fay, and got Yousef's car.

''So you're sure you want to go to school tomorrow? You can always take another week off.''

''Really, I'm fine. I can't wait.''

Chapter 20

Hello everyone:D Wow, I can't believe it's already the 20th chapter in the story! I enjoy writing so much, and I hope all of you are loving the blog:) Oh and if i forgot to say this in previous posts, I hope everyone is having a wonderful Ramadan:D.

enjoy!

-

I awoke to a pitch black room, and a faint stream of moonlight hiding behind my curtains.

I quickly kicked the blankets off of me, feeling the thick perspiration trickling down the back of my neck.

I rolled to my side, and squinted my eyes at the clock on the wall. 3:35. I groaned, and quickly got out of bed, turning on the large white lantern lamp.

I reached over to my phone, glaring at the flashing red button.

It was one of those annoying broadcasts about people changing their status and picture.

I was wide awake, and had nothing else to do.

I sighed, and went to my desk, picking up my smooth Macbook Air, and then sitting back on my bed,.

I turned it on, and went to the bathroom, taking a cold shower. I got out, and went to go change into clean clothes. I settled on Hollister sweats and a pink tank top. I straightened my hair, and tied it up in a sleek ponytail.

I remembered my computer, and went over to my bed, clicking on the safari icon.

I browsed Youtube, looking for new songs. I settled with some Lana Del Ray, her hypnotic voice instantly soothing my mind.

I cached up on blogs, excited that there were multiple chapters awaiting.

After four hours, I closed the blogs, letting the music settle into the background. I sighed, and looked at my phone's screen, checking the time and date. I gasped, realized that it was Saturday. I remembered Fay, and that my father was leaving on his company vacation trip.

I went downstairs, seeing my father reading the newspaper, sipping a cup of Turkish coffee.

''Good morning Baba." I said, and kissed his head.

''Good morning Sara.'' He replied, taking another sip of his coffee.

''Isn't your company trip today?'' I asked, eyeing the suitcase by the front doors.

''Yes, we're leaving in an hour. I can cancel if you wish, since you just got home.'' He said, tensing up and the last part.

''No no! It's fine, have fun!'' I assured him. I knew my father had been planing this for over a month. All his co workers and their wives were going to Dubai for two weeks, just as they did every 6 months.

''okay, as long as you're okay with it. Yousef and his father will be here in about 30 minutes.'' He said, turning the page to the sports section.

Yousef only had one sister, Haneen, who was in England, getting her medical degree. Yousef's father never re-married, so it was just the two of them.

Our fathers both owned a company together, so Yousef usually stayed over while they went on their trip. I was usually fine with it, but considering the situation, I felt almost uneasy about the situation.

''Oh shut up Sara, it's not like he's going to be staying in your room!'' I snapped at myself, shaking the feeling off. We were still best friends, and it was going to stay like that. Well, I hoped.

''Okay.'' I said, watching my father scan the sports news. I took that as my signal to leave, and turned around, going back upstairs.

I changed into tribal pattern shorts from H&M that reached just above my knees, and a loose white shirt, hanging off my shoulder. I sprayed my coconut perfume on, bringing back the memories of summer. I put my hair up in a slick ponytail, and slipped on tan gladiators.

I still had 15 minutes to kill, so I decided to do my nails. I filed them and applied a simple clear coat. I was never really fond of nail polish, so I always wore clear. *true fact:p

After I finished, I went to go brush my teeth, and do my makeup. I kept it minimal, adding only mascara and one of my various shades of light pink lip gloss.

I turned off my computer and took my blackberry off of the table, slipping it in my back pocket. I lightly closed my door, not wanting to wake Fahad or Aziz. I went downstairs and went to go sit in the main living room, closest to the entrance.

I sat down next to my father, who was watching the news. I pulled out my phone and messaged Fay, asking her if I could come over at one. She agreed, and I closed my phone, slipping it back into my pocket.

My father went back upstairs, probably thinking he forgot something. I heard the door bell ring, and my nerves quickly tensed up.

''Sara! Can you get that?'' I heard my father shout from upstairs, his voice echoing through the house.

I got up, smoothing out my shirt and shorts. I bit my lip in nervousness. This was so weird, I was never this nervous around Yousef. But then again, we were never this crazy about each other.

I took a deep breath, struggling to pull open the large front door, as it's about at least twice my height. I swung it open, seeing Yousef and his father.

''Hello, uncle! How are you?'' I said, giving him a warm smile.

''Hello Sara! Good, how are you?'' He replied, sitting down on on of the large couches.

''Fine, thank you.'' I said, and turned to Yousef.

He looked much better then yesterday. His hair was neatly combed down, covered with a Ferrari hat. He was wearing A&F shorts with a white V neck shirt, and his signature red Toms. He gave me a huge grin, and gestured to the duffel bag he was carrying in his hand.

I looked down, feeling my cheeks turning red. I closed the door, and followed them into the living room. My father was greeting his, and both their voices boomed through out the house.

Fahad, Amal, Aziz came downstairs, greeting everyone. I sat down next to Amal, feeling my phone vibrate in my pocket. I opened bbm, seeing there was one new chat open.

Yousef Al X: Wow, I just saw the most beautiful girl in the entire world! And she's mine! How lucky am I? :D:D

I laughed, looking up at him. He was trying not to smile, focusing on his father. I replied, my perfectly manicured nails brushing over the keyboard.

Sara Al X: Really? :o

I giggled, watching his reaction.

Yousef Al X: Really! And I love her SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much! :D

I realized Amal was leaning over my shoulder, reading everything. She laughed, and I playfully elbowed her in the ribs.

Sara Al X: Well, she loves you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH :*

I looked up, seeing him grinning at the screen. Our fathers came to sit down, so we both put our phones away, placing them in our pockets.

They all chatted away until it was time for them to leave the airport. We all hugged and wished them a wonderful flight, making my dad promise to call me once he got there. I waved as they drove away, watching the back of the Range Rover turn the corner out of my driveway.

I gave Amal a mischievous grin as we all walked inside the house.

''I'm going back to bed, if you need anything, Maria is in the kitchen.'' Aziz said, climbing up the stairs.

''And I'm going out in an hour with Abdullah!'' He said, running back to his room.

''And I have to go to school, I promised Jassim I would help him with French.'' She said, trying to hide her smile.

''Ooohhh.'' Me and Yousef laughed, and I gave her a wink. They had such cute crushes on each other, it was just too sweet. She went upstairs, her cheeks turning into tomatoes.

''Oh and I have to go over to Fay's place, she has to help me with the social classwork I missed. Just for 2 hours'' I said, giving Yousef an apologetic look.

''It's fine, I'm just gonna unpack and take a nap, I'm exhausted.'' He said. ''Care to show me to my room?'' He smirked, even though he knew this house just as well as his own.

''Why of course!'' I giggled, playing along. We both went upstairs, leading to one of the guest bedrooms, the one that Yousef always stayed in when our parents went on vacation.

He opened the door, the hinges creaking. He put down his bag, and then we both went back downstairs.

We said bye to Amal, who practically sprinted out the door.

We had breakfast, and hung out for the rest of the day. At 12:30, I remembered Fay, and got up.

''I can take you if you want'' Yousef said, pulling out his car keys.

''Are you sure?'' I asked.

''Yeah, anything to spend more time with you!'' He said, slipping his hand in mine.

''Okay, I just have to go get my school bag. Be right back'' I said, running up the stairs. I went into my room,    grabbing my pink school bag. I suddenly thought about the necklace Yousef had given me. I went into my closet, and opened the velvet box it was in.

I put it on, securing the clasp around my neck. I hadn't wore it since the ''accident''. I smiled, and then ran downstairs, outside to Yousef's Porsche.

I got in, and gave Yousef my phone, telling him the address.

I whatsapped Fay, telling her I was on my way.

20 minutes later, we arrived to a modern, 3 floor villa. Yousef parked the car, and I picked up my bag, telling him I would call him when we finished.

I moved the open the door, but I felt Yousef's hand wrap gently around my wrist, pulling me back in my seat.

''Don't I deserve something?'' He smirked, closing his eyes and tapping his cheek. ''Okay.'' I laughed, blowing him an air kiss.

He laughed, and I got out of the car, walking up to the villa. I whatsapped Fay, telling her I was there. A house keeper greeted me at the door, telling me that Fay was in her room.

I thanked her and went up the stairs, admiring the house. There were a lot of windows everywhere, and the walls were covered with paintings and murals. There were a lot of plants and flowers around, giving the house a lively feeling.

I knocked on the door. ''Come in!'' I heard Fay call.

I twisted the doorknob, and opened the door, seeing Fay sitting by her desk.

''Hi!'' I said, going over to greet her.

''Hey!'' She said, giving me a big hug.

We both sat down at her huge glass desk. I opened my bag, pulling out my textbooks and notebooks, as well as all of the homework.

''Thanks so much Fay for this.'' I said, reaching in my bag for my pencil case.

''No problem!'' She grinned.

''Okay so I think we should review the chapter first, since this is going to be the one for the tes-''

Suddenly, we heard an earsplitting scream echo through the house.

Chapter 19

Welcome back everyone:D. Sorry for the delay in chapters, personal problems:p. I can't exactly make any more promises as to when I'm going to be posting exactly, because I hate feeling like I have to write, and end up with a pretty horrible chapter. I would much rather write when I want to, and end up with multiple amazing chapters. I'll try to post at least 5 times a week, so don't worry:p

  Enjoy!

-

After we all ate our lunch, Yousef went to the duwaniya to go hang out with Fahad, and I went upstairs to go rest.

I opened my door, hearing the familiar noise of the door creaking open. I found my phone on my bed, next to my laptop. I cringed at it, knowing there were probably going to be a million messages awaiting my reply.

I turned on my phone, not bothering to check it yet. I went to the bathroom, and took a long shower. I got out, and went to go change. I put on a pair of black AE sweatpants and a blue A&F shirt. I put my hair in a messy bun, and crawled into bed.

I laid back on the large fluffy pillow, and tucked myself into the blanket, shielding myself from the blast of the air conditioner.

I sighed and looked at my phone, my eyes gazing over the top of the screen.

23 Twitter notifications

39 Bbm messages

12 Whatsapp messages

7 texts.

It was going to be a long afternoon.

I opened twitter, bbm, and whatsapp. There were mostly ''get well soon!'' messages, which I humbly replied to, a huge smile spreading across my face.

  One message caught my mind.

HussainAlX: Hey Sara! Um, I'm really hoping you're okay, rumors are flying around school and I'm really confused:s.but it's okay, not trying to get too personal or anything. anyway enshalla you're feeling better now,  and i'll see you at school on sunday:)

Hussain is a friend from school. We were both in the same art class last year, and we instantly got along and  talked non stop about art. We never really talked over bbm or twitter, and he was more of a person to talk to you in real life.

I replied, and then checked the rest of the bbm messages. After I had replied to everyone, I went to twitter, my fingers smoothly gliding over the keyboard.

SaraAlX: Hey everyone! I'm okay now, thank God. I'll be at school on Sunday, talk to you all then:D. Thank you so much for all the wonderful messages, honestly I feel so much better now. Missing you all!

I pressed send, and locked my phone, placing it on the table.

I yawned, and slid down, resting my head on my pillow. I closed my eyes, and let my mind wander for a few minutes.

Hussain popped into my mind for a second. He was always that ''dangerous'' one, that everyone judged based on his appearance. He had jet black eyes, and a defined jaw, which gave him an intimidating look.

His two friends, Hashim and Sultan had similar looks, so people tended to stay away from them.

In art class, that all changed a bit. The permanent cold expression he always wore melted off, and he actually smiled. I was the only one who talked to him, so we got along quickly.

He was an amazing artist, and had pure talent. I remember the teacher pairing us together for a project. We ended up drawing a huge landscape, and it was displayed in the school. After that, we would skip class, and go to the roof, talking about art for hours.

I felt sleep hit me heavily, and I let myself slip into a deep, peaceful sleep.

Chapter 18

Hello readers:D I have had some slight problems with chapters, my computer was taken away because I was up all night and day simply writing. And plus, it would be too suspicious to my parents/family members.

But I'm back! Posting at least one chapter per day, so stay tuned:p

And Fay is a fictional character in the story, based on a true persons experiences/ knowledge. I added her because I wanted everyone to be aware of really how drastic the Syria situation is. This is just a minor part of the destruction happening in Syria, and it's much worse. I interviewed my Syrian friend, so I could have a good point of view for this character, and she gave me such amazing information, so a huge shoutout to her, thank you so much! The idea to do this was inspired by @Vieblogue's story Masque. Such an amazing story, I highly recommend it! v-ie.blogspot.com . And no, Fay is not the real person's name, she asked me to change it for personal reasons:)

 Enjoy!
-

''Sara? Yousef?'' The shocked voice said, taken back in the sight of us both standing there, inches apart from each other

We both turned around, quickly removing my hand from his.

We saw Fay, a girl from my Social Studies class, standing awkwardly in the doorway with a large pile of schoolwork in her hand, along with a large Bvlgari purse around her slim wrist.

She awkwardly fumbled with her hands, her light mocha orbs widening in surprise.

Fay was always the quiet one in the class, and she moved her from Syria at the end of the school year last year.

Her family was wealthy and fortunate enough to have the resources to move out of Syria, and settle in Kuwait. She said her parents didn't want her in such a violent environment, so one night they packed as much as they could and left, leaving their country behind.

I had always wondered about her, and I always yearned to know more about her story and her past, but I never really got a change to speak to her outside of class, and she mostly kept to herself.

She was wearing a long flowing high waisted summer skirt, and a white short sleeve Chanel shirt over a long sleeved white shirt, and a tan hijab framing her face. She was a very simple girl, and she didn't look like someone who would ever cause any trouble.

''Fay!'' I said, distancing myself from Yousef.

''Um, Mr Noel told me to bring these to you, he said that he needs you to complete them by next Sunday.''

''Okay, thank you so much.'' I said. ''Can I talk to you outside?'' I asked her. She agreed and we both walked outside, leaving Yousef uncomfortably standing inside the hospital room.

''Look, Fay, me and Yousef, were just friends. You know that right?'' I said, lying through my teeth. When you really thought about it, it wasn't actually a lie. We both had agreed that we weren't going to be ''boyfriend and girlfriend'', just be friends that both like each other and have a future together. ''Skinny Love'', as Amal called it.

''It's okay, you can trust me!'' She mischievously giggled.

I blew out a relived sigh, and then eyed the huge pile of homework in her hand.

''You can come over to my house on Saturday and I can help you, if you want.'' She said, catching my uneasy glance.

''Really? Fay, that would be great!'' I said, giving her a hug.

''Well here's my number, and i'll whatsapp you the address.'' She said, swiftly pulling out her iPhone from her bag.

We exchanged numbers, and then we went back inside the bright hospital room.

''Hey Yousef.'' Fay said politely.

''Hey Fay.'' He kindly smiled at her.

I explained to Yousef how Fay would help me with the schoolwork I had missed out on, and he relaxed, knowing there wasn't going to be 1000 people in school on Sunday talking about them.

Fay said her goodbyes and swiftly exited the room, and we both looked at each other.

''Well, that was close.'' Yousef breathed, running his hands through his messy hair.

''Well, on the bright side, I finally get to leave this hell hole!'' I laughed.

''I'm so glad you're better. You scared me, I thought I was going to loose you. And honestly Sara that scares the shit out of me because I never want to loose you, because I love you so much. You're my best friend, and you're my whole world. And one day, I want to make you mine.'' He said, and took my hands in his.

My heart was beating through my chest, and I turned red as a tomato.

''Yousef, you know you're already mine.'' I said, looking up at him.

''I've been waiting 11 years to hear that, Sara.'' He grinned.

We spent the rest of the day talking and packing my things, ready to the the hell out of there. At 2pm, Dr Wolff came in and took me to get my final checkup  and blood tests. then at 4:30, I was free to go home.

I changed my slippers to some dark blue flats, grabbed my big bag, and left out the door. I informed the nurse that my ''cousin'' would be taking me home, and then we went to Yousef's black Porsche, driving back to my house.

Ten minutes later, I arrived at my house, and felt at peace.

''I'M HOME!'' I yelled, my voice echoing through the huge house.

My father, Mariam, Fahad, Aziz, and Amal walked in from one of the other living rooms, quickly coming up to me and all giving me big hugs.

Yousef came in the house, greeting my family.

I was so grateful, so over-joyed, that I was safe and with the people I missed and loved the most.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

Chapter 17

I'm going to be posting a bunch of chapters today, not going to put out a specific number. Then I'm going going to go back to posting One or Two chapters a day, bloggers have lives too:p It usually takes me at least two and a half hours to type a chapter, since you're thinking about what to write and typing at the same time.

Enjoy! x
-
I impatiently waited for a full explanation on what happened after I had passed out.

Yousef took a deep breath and started telling me everything. ''So I found Fahad by the pool, sitting with Abdullah and Deema, and then I started to tell Fahad that you were looking for him, when I heard Wahab, that guy in year 12, running up to me, telling me that you fainted.

I rushed into the house, finding you on the floor and Boshra was standing over you, and she started crying. Soon Shoug, Ali, Jassim, Faris, Omar, and Amal were all surrounding you. I picked you up and ran to the car, and then I drove you to the hospital.

They ran tests on you, and found out that you were poisoned. After they let you rest, they pronounced that you were in a coma, because your body had to heal itself or something. I was staying with you for the whole 2 weeks.

Boshra came by the hospital and I asked her if she knew anything. She told me everything. Rama forced her to put something in that glass of water she gave you. And that's how you got poisoned. It was all a trap.''

I stared at him in awe, trying to make sense of everything I just heard. How could Rama do that to me? I knew that we had our differences, but would she actually go to the length of trying to kill me? She's heartless.

''Wow.'' I said, my mind not being able to come up with anything else.

''I'm just glad you're okay.'' He mumbled.

''Me too.'' I said, smiling. I was okay, perfectly fine. And I could go home in two days.

Suddenly, my father, Mariam, Fahad, and Aziz all walked in, their eyes full of joy. They all ran to hug me,   causing there to be a pang of pain in my chest, which I ignored. I was just happy that I was surrounded by all of the people I loved.

I loved that feeling. The feeling that someone cares about you, that someone cherishes your life. Weather it's your family, or your friends. They were the people that made my life complete.

  *Two Days Later

I woke up, and found the curtains open, revealing a wonderful view of the sea. There were flowers and ''Get Well Soon!'' balloons all around the room. I looked over at the large white couch, seeing Yousef fast asleep.

Yousef never really left the hospital the whole 2 week's I've been here. He just went home for an hour every other day to take a shower and get new clothes. He talked to me, kept me company, told me about everything I missed during the two weeks, and told me he loved me every chance he got.

The faint sunlight streamed through the window, and I could here the faint noises of people moving outside the hallway. I carefully climbed out of the hospital bed, disconnecting the heart monitor on my finger.

I went to go brush my teeth, wash my face, and fix my hair, and changed into jeans and an A&F blue shirt. I looked at my tired eyes, and my pale skin. I examined the faint bruise on my cheek, from when I fell on the floor.

I was shocked. Two precious weeks of my life, gone. The doctor said that I might have some slight temporary memory loss, but nothing to extreme. What would I forget? I was terrified.

''Sara?'' I head Yousef's groggy voice, probably wondering where I was.

I snapped out of my thoughts, and opened the door to the restroom, seeing him standing by the window in black sweatpants, and an Armani shirt, his hair messily framing his face.

''Hey'' I said, a smile creeping on my face.

He quickly turned around, and gave me the biggest smile ever.

''Hi''

I walked up to him, my pink slippers sliding across the floor.

''I get to leave today!'' I exclaimed, and he laughed, and gave me a big hug.

I reluctantly pulled away from Yousef, and found his chocolate brown eyes staring into mine.

He held my hand in his, and looked down. ''You look so beautiful, honestly.'' He breathed, and my cheeks turned as red as tomatoes.

Suddenly I heard the door click open, and someone taking a surprised breath.

Chapter 16

Continuing the marathon today:D 3 more chapters posted today! I like this spaced paragraph type writing better, so I think i'm going to stick to it. Comments? :)

Is this what it felt like to die?

No pain, no feeling, nothing. I tried to fight off the heaviness upon me, trying to force me to collapse.

I recited my prayers in my heart, and kept urging my body to keep working.

It could have been hours, or seconds passing. I heard faint noises, as if someone was calling my name.

The noises got louder, as if someone was turning the volume up on a television. ''Sara!'' I head a boy's voice call out. ''Sara, don't worry, were almost at the hospital!''

I couldn't move. I couldn't speak. It was the worst feeling in the world. I wanted to tell the person that I was alive.

I was slowly starting to regain my awareness, the numbness slowly draining out of my body. I could hear the blood rushing to my head, pulsing through my veins. I felt someone pick me up, and start running. I still couldn't open my eyes, so I had no idea where we were going.

I heard more people talking, my brain not being able to process what they were saying.

I must have fell asleep, because I woke up in a big, bright hospital room.

I tried sitting up, but there were too many wires attached to me, I couldn't move. I looked around, and I saw Shoug, Amal, and Yousef all on the couch, watching me.

Their eyes all lit up when they saw me open my eyes, and they all quickly rushed by my side. Yousef went to go call the doctors, and Shoug started crying, her mascara running down her face. Amal quickly came to hold my hand, asking if I was okay.

Soon, three doctors in crisp white lab coats flooded into the room. One of the male doctors walked towards me, getting out his clipboard.

''Sara Al X, correct?'' He said in a thick British accent. He was tall, around 6'5, had grey hair, and had big thick glasses, similar to Ray Bans, but much more sophisticated. I read his name tag. Dr. Wolff.

''Um, yes. That's me.'' I said, my throat feeling dry.

''Well, Sara, You have been in a coma for two weeks.'' He said, and my mouth formed a big 'o'.

''Two weeks? How had I been unconscious for two weeks? What happened?!'' I frantically asked the doctor, my breathing pace quickly picking up. Yousef quickly came and stood next to me, trying to calm me down.

''Well, it seems as if you were poisoned, and your brain shut down in order to protect itself.'' He stated simply.

I remembered when I was at Rama's party, and Boshra went to get me something to drink. What was in that drink? Had she done this to me? Or was it Rama? All these questions were buzzing through my head, causing me to feel a sting of pain.

''Where is my dad? Where's Fahad?'' I asked, looking at Yousef, Shoug, and Amal.

''Your dad's on his way with Mariam, Fahad and Aziz. Everyone else is on their way as well.'' Yousef said in a soothing voice, trying to calm me down.

''Well, we'll give you some time to rest, and you can go home in two days.'' Dr Wolff said, and walked out of the room.

Shoug came to quickly hug me, tears dropping on my A&F tee shirt. Then she went to Amal, quickly pulling her out of the room. ''We'll be outside, tell us if you need anything!'' She said, elbowing Amal in the stomach, and she quickly followed Shoug out of the room.

I heard the door click shut, and then Yousef turned to me, his eyes sparkling in joy and relief.

''I'm so glad you're awake, I missed you so much.'' He said, grabbing a chair and coming to sit next to me.

''Yousef, what happened?''

Chapter 15

Hello:p Last chapter for tonight, but posting 3 more once I wake up!

       Enjoyy:D

-

I ran downstairs, trying to see who was still here. Yousef's father wasn't home, as he was probably at my house, scheduling a flight with my father for their company vacation. Which meant the house was pretty much empty, aside from all the house keepers and drivers.

Omar, Turki, Faris and Ali were all huddled on one of the couches, while Jassim was laying on the floor under the couch Amal and Shoug were sleeping on. I sighed, and quickly woke everyone up.

''WAKE UP!!'' I shouted, causing Omar to fall off the couch. My loud voice echoed through the house, waking everyone up from their deep slumber. Everyone's head quickly shot up, and gave me startled glances.

''Were going to go find Fahad.''

I asked Ali for his phone, and he quickly handed it to me, not asking any questions. I got Faisal's number and quickly dialed ,praying he would answer.

''Hello?'' Faisal's rough voice echoed through the phone. Thank god.

''Hey, Faisal. It's Sara, Fahad's sister. His phone is off, is he with you?'' I asked.

''Yeah, were, um, at Abdullah's.'' He said. I could easily hear that he was lying. I could also hear a lot of people talking in the background.

''Okay, thanks.'' I said and hung up, quickly going to Ali's twitter.

I knew he followed most of the seniors, Including Abdullah, Fahad, and Deema. I quickly scanned through Fahad's tweets. One caught my eye, causing me to recoil back.

      ''At Rama Al X's party!''

Are you freaking kidding me? Why did it have to be Rama?

Seconds later I got a text from an unknown number.

965********: Heyy, Sara! Remember me? If you want your brother back, you're gonna have to come get him. ;). Try me, bitch.

''What is this, Pretty Little Liars?'' I scoffed. I showed everyone the text, trying to make sense of this. I quickly went upstairs to Yousef, waking him up and telling him everything.

''Were all coming with you.'' Shoug said, and everyone nodded in agreement. I checked the time. 5:45 pm. I went upstairs to Yousef's older sister, Haneen's, old room, getting clothes for all of the girls. We quickly changed and went downstairs,  climbing into the black Jeep, driving off to Rama's.

My hands began to sweat, and I began to hyperventilate. Shoug quietly calmed me down, trying to tell me everything was going to be alright. Which I knew was a big fat lie, since this is Rama were talking about.

10 minutes later, we all arrived at Rama's house, and we all walked through the door. I looked around, trying to find my brother. The place was pretty crowded with people, mostly seniors, and they were all dancing. We decided to all split up and go look for Rama.

I turned the corner, to find Rama's younger sister, Boshra, sitting on one of the steps leading upstairs, and I prayed Fahad wasn't up there.

Boshra is in Year 8, and is the sweetest, most innocent girl I have ever met. The complete opposite of Rama.

Harsh memories of this house flooded into my mind. I quickly pushed them out, trying to focus. I walked up to Boshra.

''Hi Boshra!'' I said, trying to sound as calm as possible.

''Hi.'' She said, looking up at me with scared eyes.

''Where's Rama?'' I said, hoping she knew.

''I don't know, but she'll be back any second, don't worry.'' She said, and I sighed in relief. I trusted Boshra. Big mistake.

I sat down next to her, trying to search for my brother.

''Do you want some water?" She asked me, eyeing my sweaty forehead.

''Sure, thanks.'' I said, finally noticing how dry my throat was.

While I waited, I tried calling Fahad. After the 13 time, it said his phone was off.

''Here's your water.'' Boshra handed me an icy glass, her hand shaking.

I got up, thanking her, and quickly took a sip. A few seconds later, my eye sight began to fade, and I began seeing big black spots. My knees became week, and soon I was falling. I hit my head on the mahogany floor, not feeling a thing. What was happening to me?

''I'm sorry'' Boshra said, her voice echoing through my ears.

And then, it all went black.

   enjoy x

I tore my eyes away from my screen and looked up at Yousef, who was quickly making his way upstairs.

He turned back to me and gave me a serious look, ushering me to follow him.

I looked around at everyone. Turki and Omar were bickering about Team Kato versus Team Peeta, while Ali and Lulu were sitting in the room next to us, chatting. Everyone else was passed out from exhaustion.

I quietly stood up, sliding my shoes on, and sneaked upstairs.

I found him sitting in the open living room, his arm nervously clutching the side of the couch. He saw me walking up the stairs, and quickly stood up, his cheeks a light shade of red. I walked over to him, and quietly sat down. This was too awkward.

''So?'' I said, fumbling with my hands. ''Well, Sara, I wanted to know where we, um, go from here? I guess.'' He said. I laughed and gave him a reassuring look. ''Yousef, I'm honestly not sure where we should go from here. But, as long as we both have feelings for each other, what else matters?''

''Wow, that was really cheesy.'' I joked, and we both cracked a smile. ''Maybe we should just stay like this? I don't want to be that guy that makes you lie to anyone, or makes you feel like you're doing something wrong.'' He sighed.

''Lets just stay best friends that happen to both like each other?'' I said, trying to lighten the atmosphere, thick with tension. We both agreed.

I looked down at my phone, hoping that Fahad would call. I checked the time. 12:45 am. Where was he?

Yousef could tell something was wrong. ''Sara? Whats wrong?'' He said, coming to sit down next to me. ''Nothing, just waiting for Fahad to call, he left the party with Dana, Deema, Abdullah, and Faisal, to 'get Pinkberry' and he hasn't said he was home or anything.'' I said while biting my lip out of nervousness.

''Don't worry, I'm sure he's just fine.'' He said, automatically putting my nerves to ease. I sighed, resting my head on the end of the huge couch.

I suddenly an extreme need for sleep wash over me, forcing my eyes closed. I fought it, sitting up. I had to wait for Fahad to call. The thoughts rushing through my head where horrible. I tried my best to block them out, and laid my head on Yousef's shoulder, inhaling his scent.

My eyes drooped, begging to be closed. I sighed and gave up, letting my eyelids fall. I felt a soft pair of lips press against my forehead.

                              ''A7ibich''.

I woke up the next morning, my head still on Yousef's shoulder. I yawned and looked up at Yousef, who was fast asleep. I quietly got up, my feet quickly sliding on the marble floors. I remembered Fahad, and nervously looked at my phone. 0 miss calls,  0 text messages.

I was never this nervous. But, then again, I have never been left by my brother at a party with his friends, then wake up to find no contact from him whats-so-ever. I furiously pressed the call button, waiting for him to pick up.

                No answer.

         Something was up.

I was just standing there, my full lips forming a big O. My brain was in total shock, trying to come up with something to say. I gained the courage to look up, seeing Yousef's dark eyes staring at me, waiting for me to say something. He lightly held my hand in his, waiting for me to respond. I could hear the faint noise of the music from the house, and the salty waves crashing on the shore. ''I love you, I really, really do, Sara. I have since I first laid eyes on you when we were just four years old. You're so special to me, and I love everything about you. And it's okay if you don't feel the same. Maybe you just look at me as a friend, a brother. It's okay. I'll always be there for you, because I could never, ever leave you.'' I looked at him, a smile forming on my lips.

''Sara? Say something!'' He said nervously. ''Yousef, I love you too.'' I said, seeing his brown eyes light up. ''Really?'' He said, grinning. I've never actually seen him so happy. ''Of course I do, you idiot!'' I said with a delighted look on my face. It felt as if all the puzzle pieces in my life have been put together, revealing a perfect picture. He laughed, and gave me a hug, resting his chin on my head. I had never been so joyful.

We went back inside, his fingers entwined with mine. We walked into one of the living rooms, where Omar, Turki, Faris, Jassim, Lulu, Jana, Shoug, Amal, and Ghalia were sitting. They all looked so happy together, and I couldn't have asked for more. Their jaws dropped as they saw us holding hands, and Omar and Turki started whistling and clapping, which made me blush and automatically start telling them to shut up. Soon the whole group, including Lulu, was cheering. I always knew everyone was just waiting for me and Yousef to admit that we both liked each other.

Soon it was time to eat, and everyone quickly rushed to the large buffet, and went into the largest living room, starting to eat. I was walking back to the buffet, when I saw Fahad, with his friends Abdullah, Deema, Dana, and Faisal, running out the door. I caught Fahad's eye, and he quickly ran over to me. ''Were just going for pink berry, relax!'' He said. I laughed it off, and told him to go have fun.

Who was I to accuse him of trying to spend time with the people he cherished? I know I would've done the same thing if I was in his position.

I ate another sandwich, seeing people were already starting to go back to the dance floor. I posed for countless of photos with people, and then went to go find Lulu. I saw her hanging out with Ali, Fahad's friend Faisal's younger brother. I quickly waved to her, and went on the dance floor with Ghalia and Jana. Lulu was never really the type to talk to guys. But lately she's become more comfortable with letting her self be more friendly with guys. And I'm not talking about her turning into a slut and dating every guy she sees. Just being able to have a normal conversation with them.

They were playing ''Human'' by The Killers, my favorite song in the entire world. I was dancing with the girls, quickly joined by Dalal, Farah, and Sabrina, all girls from the year above me. We all were having a blast, when I felt someone lightly grab my wrist, pulling me out of the crowed. By then, the song was finished and had changed to a slower Lana Del Ray song.

I spun around, seeing Yousef behind me with a big, devilish grin on his face. By then, it was 11:30, and the party was starting to end. ''What?'' I giggled, trying to figure out what was going through his head. ''My dad called and said that he's out with your dad, at a company party, so he can't pick me up, and told me that your father said that I could have some friends over.'' He said, and seconds later I received a call from my dad, him telling me that I would have to go over Yousef's until he got home.

We ran over to our friends, inviting them. They all agreed and 20 minutes later, we all piled into the Tahoe. It was like our own little after party. Jassim and Ali came along too, since they were friends of Yousef. It was packed. We decided to put all of the seats down, making it look like a huge trunk, so everyone would just sit on the floor. Ghalia and Lulu were sitting next to each other, Amal and Shoug next to me. Faris and Omar were both having a ''Yo Mama'' battle with Yousef and Jassim, and Ali and Turki were trying to keep score.

We all decided to go to McDonald's. The car looked like a funny circus car, with all of the people climbing out of it and rushing inside, racing to the counter. We all got our food and left, making our way to Yousef's.

Once we got there, We all went into the vast living room, and decided to watch a movie. I picked The Hunger Games, and we were all sprawled across all of the couches, eating our McFlurries and fries.

Half way through the movie, I got a bbm from Yousef, which I thought was pretty strange, since he was sitting two seats away from me.

YousefAlX: We need to talk.

Chapter 12

Hello:) last post for tonight, I'm going traveling tomorrow for a day to meet up with my friend (can't tell you the country, lets just say that it's really close!) And were going to be having a blast! :D I'll be back at night, and I might type up chapter 13!

And huge shoutout to all of my readers:D I only started my blog 6 days ago, and I am already getting so much positive feedback! At first I was unsure about this whole blogging thing, thinking that people would judge me because of my story, or criticize my writing. But in this whole ongoing experience, I learned two things. First, is that you should always take the risk, because the result could just end up being amazing. And Two, is that writing, in a way, can help you express bottled up emotions and feelings, and it's such an amazing thing. ALSO, I learned that I am an extremely bad speller, so another shoutout to google chrome spell check:p

so yeah. thank you:D and enjoy! xo

We arrived to Dana's mansion at 8:00, and I told my father to pick me up at 11:30. The music was blasting, the party already in full swing. I could hear the thud of the base from outside, waking me up. I followed Fahad into the house, and he was greeted by his friend, Abdullah, and they quickly ran away into the crowd. Amal waved off at me and said that she had to go find a bathroom. The dj was playing ''Don't Stop The Music'' and everyone was dancing and having a good time. One of the house keepers came up to me, offering to take my blazer into the coat room. I smiled and agreed, shrugging of my blazer and hanging my bag across my shoulder.

''Sara!'' Shoug greeted me, embracing me in a quick hug. ''Hey!'' I tried to shout over the music.
She pulled me over to the dance floor. It was just a regular party, no one was dancing inappropriately, or doing anything wrong. It was better then I expected. I was dancing to the music, having an amazing time.

After an hour of talking, socializing, and dancing, I went to go sit down, trying to find the rest of my friends. It was pretty hard to get a good search, because every minute someone would come up to me and start a conversation. I finally escaped, going upstairs into one of the bathrooms. I called Ghalia, and she said she was downstairs with Turki, Omar, Lulu and Jana. I asked her If she saw Yousef, and she said no, saying that he came here with Faris and left. I tried calling Yousef but there was no answer. Strange. I fixed my makeup, applying more lipgloss, and left to go back downstairs.

I turned the corner, and I saw Yousef walking towards me. But he wasn't alone. Dana had her arm around his neck, and Yousefs arm was stretched across her waist, reaching up in her high heels to give him a kiss on the cheek. His expression quickly changed from joy to surprise, and then to guilt. He removed his arm from her waist, reaching out towards me. I backed away, trying to make sense of everything. Dana? How could he not tell me? And how am I so hurt by this? I looked down, and quickly made my way downstairs.

I walked into one of the smaller living rooms, to find Faris and Shoug talking. She saw the look in my eye, and excused herself from Faris, leading me into the empty kitchen. ''Sara, whats wrong?'' She said in her soothing voice. ''Yousef and Dana, I saw them walking upstairs, and, how could he not tell me? How could he keep this from me? Why?!'' I said, starting to sob. I knew why I was so upset.

It was because I liked Yousef, much more then a friend. I finally let myself admit it, letting all of the emotions loose. Every look, every smile, every late night phone call, all of the funny chats, all of the hugs, all of the pranks. Everything made me like Yousef. I had just been lying to myself the whole time.

I hugged Shoug, my eye makeup running down my face. She led me into the bathroom, quickly cleaning me up, and redoing my eyeliner and mascara. I just sat there, in silence. I finally noticed my phone buzzing. It was a call from Yousef. I was unsure about if I should answer or not. But I knew ignoring him would just make it all worse, and I couldn't live with that. I quickly hugged Shoug, and she quickly left. I took a deep breath, pressing the accept button.

''Sara? Thank god you picked up. I can explain, I swear. I'm so sorry just let me explain!'' I kept my voice quiet and calm. ''You have 5 minutes to explain, meet me outside, at the back of the house.'' I said and hung up. I made my way out of the kitchen, and I turned the corner, leading to the back door, when I saw Amal, with a guy.

''Amal?'' I said, checking to make sure if it was her. She quickly turned around, her jaw dropping. I recognized the guy behind her as Jassim, from the grade above us. I quickly realized that the Jassim from her phone call two weeks ago, and Jassim, Yousef's friend, was the same Jassim standing behind her. I gave her a smile, walking towards them. I smiled at Jassim, and reached out to give Amal a hug. ''Your secret's safe with me, don't worry'' I whispered in her ear. She pulled away and gave me the biggest smile ever. ''Have fun'' I said, making a funny face at Amal. she giggled and I made my way to the back door, scanning my eyes for Yousef.

''Hey.'' He said, and I quickly turned around, seeing him standing behind me, his hands in his pockets. ''You look really beautiful'' He said, looking at me. ''Okay. So what happened? I want to know everything.'' I whispered, avoiding his eye contact. We went to go sit on the bench in front of the garden, overlooking the sea. ''Dana, she was just flirting with me, and I just decided to go along with it. But I swear nothing happened. Dana told me you were with Bradly, that British guy in year 11, so I just gave up and followed her. But every second I was with Dana, I wished it was you. Sara, I'm sorry, okay? I knew you would never like me back, so I stopped trying!'' He said, running his hands through his hair. I was speechless. Was this actually happening? ''Sara, I love you.''
